Sustainability and Innovation in Carrier Bags
At Bagfactory, sustainability is a core business principle and the foundation of our innovation. Our commitment to creating eco-friendly solutions has driven us to pioneer sustainable practices and offer innovative products for a greener future.
Our Mission
We aim to transform packaging by developing sustainable and socially responsible products that reduce environmental impact while maintaining exceptional quality. Bagfactory combines advanced technology, sustainable materials, and innovative designs to provide solutions that support businesses and the planet.
Innovation at Bagfactory
Collaborating with Kaunas Technology University, we’ve developed advanced bonding technologies for non-woven materials. This breakthrough enables faster production and improves the durability of our bags, which can carry up to 40 kg. Additionally, our eco-friendly printing techniques eliminate the need for lamination, simplifying the recycling process.
We use only
eco friendly materials
We offer
Our eco-friendly bags are crafted with up to 100% recycled materials, using non woven R-PP or non woven R-PET, and are fully recyclable. We offer a wide range of machine-made textile bags, available in various thicknesses, shapes, and sizes, all printed with water based inks and customizable handle styles. These bags are durable, foldable, hand washable at low temperatures (below 30°C), and capable of carrying between 15 to 40 kg, making them the ideal choice for safely transporting your groceries home.
For a more biodegradable option, our machine-made paper bags are 100% biodegradable, providing a great way for businesses to reduce their environmental impact. Produced using eco-friendly materials and available in multiple sizes, these bags are also printed with water based inks, ensuring sustainability throughout the process.
Recycled Non-Woven Spunbond (rPP)

Recycled Non-woven Spunbond (rPP) is made from post industrial recycled polypropylene, which plays a vital role in reducing plastic waste and its impact on the environment. By reusing materials that have served their purpose, rPP minimises the need for virgin plastic production, significantly
reducing carbon emissions and conserving valuable natural resources. This approach supports the circular economy, in which waste materials are continuously reintroduced into the production cycle, reducing reliance on new resources.
What distinguishes our manufacturing process from many Asian competitors is our commitment to sustainability. While Asian manufacturers typically use virgin polypropylene (PP) in their non-woven materials, requiring constant new resources, we prioritize recycled content—particularly post-consumer waste—significantly reducing environmental impact and
resource consumption.
Recycled PET (rPET)

Recycled PET (rPET) is a sustainable material made entirely from 100% post-consumer plastic waste, such as discarded plastic bottles. The process starts with collecting, sorting and cleaning used bottles. They are then shredded into flakes, melted and spun into fibers that are woven into durable fabrics
used to make bags.
This closed-loop process is a prime example of the circular economy, where waste is continuously reused rather than discarded. By choosing rPET, we reduce the need for virgin materials, cut down on plastic waste and reduce carbon emissions. By using only recycled content, rPET is the most sustainable option for high quality reusable products such as bags.
Paper

Kraft paper, available in brown, white and ribbed grades, is renowned for its strength and environmentally friendly properties. Brown Kraft is made from unbleached wood pulp, making it highly recyclable, biodegradable and sustainable with minimal chemical processing. White Kraft has similar durability but is bleached, slightly reducing its environmental benefits, although it remains recyclable. Ribbed Kraft has a textured surface, providing extra strength for packaging, while maintaining the same environmental qualities as Brown Kraft. All forms of kraft contribute to sustainability by being biodegradable and recyclable, making them excellent alternatives to plastic in packaging.
