Bagfactory Recognised Among Lithuania’s Export Leaders

Bagfactory, the largest manufacturer of reusable non-woven and paper bags in Central Europe, has received significant recognition. The Vilnius-based company, which has exported its products to more than 42 countries worldwide since its establishment, has been recognised as one of Lithuania’s export leaders.

The company was honoured at the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists’ annual “Lithuanian Exporter of the Year” awards and was named among the country’s strongest exporters in the medium-sized company category for 2025.

Today, exports account for more than 90% of Bagfactory’s revenue. The company’s products reach customers across Europe and other regions of the world.

Bagfactory CEO Jonas Elvikis says the award is an important recognition of the company’s work and highlights the growing competitiveness of Lithuanian manufacturers abroad.

“Competing in export markets today is about much more than price. Customers expect consistent quality, reliable delivery and products that meet increasingly high sustainability standards. These are the areas we have been focusing on for years. This award is a great recognition for our team and motivates us to continue growing in international markets and developing products that respond to our customers’ needs,” he says.

This is not the first time the company has received notable recognition. Recently, Bagfactory was awarded a Bronze Medal by EcoVadis, the international sustainability rating agency. The distinction is granted to companies ranked among the top 35% of organisations assessed worldwide for sustainability performance.

The company has also received the highest rating under the global food safety standard developed by the British Retail Consortium. In addition, it holds internationally recognised certifications, including the BRC Global Food Safety Standard, one of the world’s leading food and packaging safety certifications, and the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), which verifies material traceability and compliance with recycled content requirements throughout the manufacturing process.

Bagfactory’s CEO believes Lithuanian manufacturers have every opportunity to continue growing in international markets.

More and more, Lithuania is becoming known not only for quality manufacturing, but also for innovative and sustainable solutions.
