Our history since 2007
Dear Prospective Partners,
We invite you to discover the innovation and dedication that have shaped Bagfactory since its beginnings. What started as a small import-export office founded by Marius Rumbinas and Gvidas Krolis has grown into a company producing paper and non-woven packaging solutions.
From our early days producing custom-made packaging for supermarket chains and department stores across Central Europe and Scandinavia, we have focused on quality, practical design and reliable production. In 2015, we established our manufacturing plant in Lithuania and began producing machine-made bags from non-woven spunbond and paper.
Innovation has been central to our growth. Over the years, we have developed production methods for non-woven polypropylene shopping bags, including advanced bonding technology³. For applicable non-woven products, this technology enables ultrasonic bonding without the need for adhesives¹. Our customers can choose packaging solutions tailored to their needs, design requirements and budget.
Since 2020, we have expanded our material options by introducing recycled-content non-woven spunbond materials into our production. For selected products, we can offer materials covered by GRS certification². We have also expanded our product range with machine-made paper carrier bags with handles, available in various sizes and finishes. Whether you are looking for non-woven bags designed for repeated use or paper bags, we can deliver solutions tailored to your quality, design and delivery requirements.
We are particularly proud of our ongoing collaboration with the Kaunas University of Technology Ultrasound Research Institute. Together, we have developed an automated ultrasonic bonding process for non-woven PET and rPET materials³.

Material Certifications
Material Certifications
We use GRS-certified recycled materials in selected products. Within the certification scope, GRS verifies the recycled content and traceability of these materials. We also use materials certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, confirming that they have been tested for harmful substances.
Innovation
Innovation in Research and Development
We work with the Kaunas University of Technology Ultrasound Research Institute to develop production methods for non-woven materials. Together, we developed an automated ultrasonic bonding process that speeds up production and allows certain materials to be joined without adhesives.
The load capacity of each bag depends on its design, material and thickness. Selected models have been tested to carry loads of up to 40 kg; the applicable capacity is stated in the individual product specification.
Printing Methods
Printing with Water-Based Inks
We offer flexographic, screen and digital printing. Our printing processes use water-based inks. Selected methods allow us to print directly onto the roll material, so certain non-woven bags can be produced without lamination.
For applicable products, the bag and handles are made from the same type of material. This avoids the need to separate different main materials at the end of the product’s useful life. Recycling options depend on the product specification and local waste management facilities.
We focus on practical design, material selection and reliable production. Each bag is made according to the customer’s requirements, including its intended use, dimensions, material and print design.

May, 2007
Gvidas Krolis and Marius Rumbinas founded a small import-export company.
December, 2015
Established a machine-made reusable bag production plant in Vilnius, Lithuania.
2015
2017
November, 2017
Introduced the Eco-cent bag and the ecoVCube bag.
November, 2018
Launched an automatic paper carrier bag production line. Became the first factory in the Baltic States to produce twist handle paper carrier bags fully automatically.

Since 2020, Bagfactory has used recycled-content non-woven spunbond materials in the production of selected bags.
June, 2021
Received BRC Packaging Materials certification from the British Retail Consortium (BRC), a globally recognized standard for packaging safety and quality.
September, 2018
Received Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification.

September, 2022
Achieved a technological breakthrough: developing automated production of bags made from 100% recycled PET (R-PET) material.
February, 2024
Introduced EcoV Bags.
